What is a Pedenza?

A Pedenza is a handmade, counterbalancing holder that suspends a wine bottle in midair using the science of physics. The horizontal resting position of a wine bottle in a Pedenza holder keeps the wine in contact with the cork to prevent spoiling by keeping the cork moist and tight.

What size of wine bottle works in a Pedenza?

Pedenza works with any standard 750 ml wine bottle. Full bottles work best for balancing. 

How do I correctly balance my Pedenza?

1. Begin by placing the base of your Pedenza on a smooth, level surface and holding it firmly in place.  
2. Next, LIGHTLY position the neck of your wine bottle completely into the hole on your Pedenza holder so that it rests comfortably. Do not let the base of the Pedenza holder move while putting your wine bottle in it.
3. Upon finding the correct position for balancing, CAREFULLY release your support of the wine bottle and ensure it rests in the Pedenza holder.

Your wine bottle should now “float” in your Pedenza holder solely due to the science of physics.

Use extreme care and support the weight of the wine bottle until you ensure that the Pedenza has been successfully balanced.
